Together with Mangor and Nagel, WE Architecture is currently carrying out three housing projects as part of the frame agreement for total consultancy for Domea.dk. Høje Tåstrup C is one of them: here WE architecture has been responsible for both the development plan (2017) and the subsequent shared design (2019-2021).
The project deals with the construction of 106 private houses, divided into 3 building plots. The buildings are composed of 8 low-density housing types on 2-3 floors as well as 84 public apartments in 7-storey point houses. On each plot, the housing typologies are matched in different combinations, providing Høje Tåstrup with a new vibrant urban atmosphere. This will help the existing urban enclaves become part of a more homogeneous and socially sustainable city.

The aesthetic language is driven by the brick façades that clad every building, with changes in rhythm, direction, and colour. This helps to provide a game and variation in the construction. In each plot the colours follow the same tone, thus creating cohesion and character.
Green open areas are created centrally in the site plan, with space for social interaction and for kids to play. On the site border, green wedges with native grasses and herbs as well as multiple varieties of solitary trees support the distinctive identity of the area.
