WE have worked with 8 South Funen harbors

Four southern Funen municipalities, Svendborg, Langeland, Faaborg-Midtfyn and Ærø, are these days visited by an UNESCO representative. The goal is to appoint South Funen as an UNESCO geopark which will attract tourists from all over the world. The initiative derives from NaturTurisme I/S, which is very ambitious in rebranding South Funen and emphasizing the many local qualities and special experiences the area offers. This is very much in line with our work for NaturTurisme I/S and the involved municipalities, where we together with Orange Elevator have looked at 8 South Funen harbors and explored how we can transform and develop them to meet the future tourism and general development, with special focus on experiences at, on and in the water. The proces have been both interesting and inspirational and have led to qualified debates about the future of South Funen and outdoor recreation with point of departure in local qualities.
