The renovation of Marielyst Badehotel have just been nominated for Guldborgsund Kommunes Arkitekturpris 2019, “Renovation and Transformation”

Located only 500 meters away from one of Denmark’s finest beaches, the extensive renovation of the former Nørrevang Hotel will transform the historical, timbered house into Marielyst Badehotel. The hotel will in the future offer exclusive experiences such as spa and wellness facilities.

The starting point for the renovation has been to return the buildings to its original state and style, carefully highlighting the many handcrafted details and techniques on both the inside and the outside. Accompanied with old and authentic photos from the interior, it has been possible to return the spaces and rooms to its original look, while several built additions on especially the exterior have been torn down to make the building calmer and more independent.

Hopefully, at the end of this Autumn, Marielyst Badehotel will be open for public and will be ready for bookings.
