Can you build high quality houses that are both sustainable and cheap?

The answer is yes! Yesterday, we celebrated that the first project from our partnership with Boligselsskabet Sjælland, Tofteengen in Roskilde, is now well on its way. The units consist of a modular wooden construction system, covered with wall boards of recycled paper fibers, resulting in a low LCA (life-cycle assessment).

The assembly process is incredibly efficient, as each unit can be put together on-site in just 2-3 days. This is possible because all components are assembled indoors under controlled conditions, free from weather delays. This optimized process not only speeds up construction but also keeps costs low, at just 9,025 DKK per square meter! This approach makes it possible to provide high quality housing at an affordable for everyday Danes.

We are proud to be part of a team, where we in close collaboration, are pushing the boundaries for establishing affordable housing that has high quality and a focus on sustainability. A big thank you to both Boligselskabet Sjælland, Dominia, Danhaus, Mangor og Nagel, and Holmsgaard for making this journey possible!
