Hotel Nørrevang has for many years been a great attraction for Marielyst and the seaside of Falster and after three years of intensive renovation it can now welcome again his guests.

First built as a farm, in 1906 was converted into a summer boarding house. The original inn is a beautiful and charming property and “we quickly decided that we owed the building to bring out the very best gem again”, says Simon Skriver, architect for WE Architecture, in charge of the renovation.

When the developer bought the hotel back in 2018, the buildings had stood empty for several years. The old thatched roof was full of holes and the weeds stood meters high. It was in default, in disrepair and was a blot on the city as it lay there desolate and abandoned in the middle of the main street.

Today, the hotel has been brought back to its original look with half-timbering, thatched roof and side-hung windows.

When you walk around the property today, you can feel the buzz of history and imagine how people have held their holidays, celebrated vital events, met and eaten and drank and laughed and enjoyed the summers and life. There has been atmosphere, cosiness and celebration. These are exactly the experiences Nørrevang now again forms the framework for.

The property comprises 26 totally renovated and exclusively furnished hotel rooms as well as a main house with associated restaurant, bar, fireplace lounge and conference room.
